Visiting Facebook HQ

Visiting Facebook HQ was an amazing experience. Thank you so much to Rob Lawer for making all of this happen.

This trip to Facebook head quarters was my first time visiting the offices of a serious tech company. It was so fun to absorb all the nuances of the environment and people behind the world's most popular website.I was awestruck by the level of freedom and the extent Facebook went to, to make sure employees felt respected and valued. Remote working, free food, company shuttles you name it.

Plus the fact that there multibillion dollar CEO and founder Mark Zuckerburg is still working harder than anyone else in the middle of the engineering building where everyone can watch him. I mean I saw Zuck working! Rob took us right by his office he was sketching something out on a whiteboard just like in the movie. What I'm most Jealous of and the real reason I believe Facebook will grow into 300 billion dollar plus company is that Facebook employees are weird.

They are imperfect, immature, quirky and comfortable being that way. Facebook is not a well oiled machine. It's thousands of wide eyed optimists who have self enforced rules and relies on their youth, energy and optimism to overcome their next problem.

So once again Rob, you really went well above and beyond anything I ever expected when we first met at Sundance and the whole ticketcake.com team and I thank you for it.

Thanks for visiting,
- Dylan Jorgensen
